Mine will have to be some where in the early 2000s and heres why
-Game stotytelling got to the point where it was interesting
-Online gaming got the point it was reasonable
-But at the same time there was little to no DRM
-No day one DLC (Cough) EA(cough)
-The command and conquer series apart from red alert series overall was good(C&C4 kind of killed it)
- No On disc DLC LOL!
-First person shooter wernt quite as generic
-The glory days of the RTS genre
