Well yes, but know that I have searched for a perfect, simple engine for basically all my life. Trust me when I say there are only a handful of viable ones out there that are not bound to a gameplay system like Heroes of Might and Magic. This is the reason I came back here 
But yes, of course, there are reasons to dislike the engine when comparing it to others. Resolution, sound, graphics, etc... are all old, but if you compare that aspect to another engine, then it's only fair to keep moddability in the equation as well, no?
