Nah... Micheal angelo and leoardo davinci lived during the Ressnasaince.
Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci on the other hand where from the Renaissance, a different period altogether.
And of course time never stood still during the Middle Ages, much of what we believe about the Middle Ages actually comes from Victorian times. Fact of the matter is that in many ways the 13th century was more advanced than the 14th century because of the black death pretty killing half of Europe's population. Blaming people for a lack of progress when half their population was killed because of some illness hardly seems fair.
To me the Middle Ages are a very interesting part of history as they shaped the way Europe looks today. Perhaps if you live outside of Europe where later colonization determined much of the way your country looks you might feel differently about this...
