Thanks, it was very interesting and enlightening to see someone play it for the first time. So much confusion lol. Still doesn't replace me doing a video and you didn't master the combat, so I guess I'll still have to feel guilty about not making a video myself 
I was surprised that it lagged when you entered the pillbug screen. It seemed like that had something to do with the warcries. I was also really surprised that you couldn't use arrow keys when you tried to quit. No idea what that was about, especially because you could use the arrow keys on the menu the other times you brought it up?
The man is to demonstrate that you use items to interact with the environment. You can give him the bow from your inventory by clicking the bow, closing the inventory, and clicking on him. Also the homing missiles are supposed to miss if the angle they have to turn is too strict [ignoring the weird thing they do at first].
