Try changing the resolution from the options. This happens to me too if I set it to 1280x960, but not with 640x480 or 1024x768. (Playing in full screen is fine too, provided that I didn't pick 1280x960)

You can also use Dink Smallwood v1.08 to play on Windows instead of Dink HD.
