Thankfully, my brain is rewritable. 
Oh. No problem, that's easy to fix. Anyway, if the last line of dink.ini is empty then that problem doesn't apply, so just make sure your dink.ini ends with a new line.

EDIT: although on further inspection, it seems that I was wrong again.
