It possibly depends on what version of Windows 7 you are running (32-bit or 64-bit), or whether you installed Windows 7 via upgrading or as a fresh install. I'm running Windows 7 32-bit installed via fresh install, and all the new files/folders that dink.exe or DfArc write in "dink smallwood" folder are redirected to C:\Users\Your Windows Account\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Dink Smallwood\. As for "Program Files (x86)", I don't even have it on C:\, and it seems like this folder is present only in 64-bit version of Windows 7.
So, you can now play without admin rights (unlike in XP, where you were forced to play as admin and to me it was very inconvenient) and each user gets each own set of d-mods, saves and so on.
