If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
"I can't get this to work at all in Windows 7 64bit"
The hard drive of my main PC failed, so I've been using Win7 32-bit to develop 2.2 and had nowhere to test it on 64-bit . Although it may or may not be a 64-bit specific bug, I'm sorry for it and I'm going to try to pinpoint it once my main computer works again.
"the selection of sprites doesn't seem to [work]"
Have you entered Multi-Sprite mode by pressing Y before doing that? I separated simple selection from multi selection mode because I wanted simple select to be usable even if I break something in multi-select (plus, I was lazy ).
"Never noticed you can scroll thru the sprites instead of page down - neat!"
You mean in the selector? Yeah, that was added in 2.1! ("Sprite and hardness selectors can be scrolled using the mouse" - Version 2.1 Release Notes)
Oh, and one thing I wanted to add is moving the mouse to the sprites when picking them up (multi-mode), instead of moving the sprites to the mouse, so that you can easily move many of them by small and precise amounts; I forgot to do so, though. Perhaps in 2.3 if there'll ever be such thing.
