You guys are wussies. 
The game is certainly not THAT hard. You have to use a screenlock-cheat though, since otherways the game will occassionally lock up... I hate bugs.
Anyway, you said that A statue thing appears on the right when everything on the screen is dead... but because the priests instantly respawn, I couldn't find any way to get the statue without cheating.
Yes, I think that is a bug... So again, a screenlock-cheat is needed. But for any other cheats beside it, nah, they're not needed. The rock-boss is sorta amusing, since you have to push it into the fire so many times... but well, beginning of evil certainly hasn't been an extraordinarily hard dmod for me this far.
(I haven't played it through yet, I pushed the rock down onto the house and talk to the villains, but didn't feel like continuing playing... Not such a great dmod BOE is, but certainly the 2nd-best evil hero entry!)
