First off that video was good Pilly, very clear very precise and I loved that you got straight into it. Really good job and would love more from you!

As to possible subjects for newbies,
I think when first starting out you need to know about the &story or your dmod doesn't progress and have any depth, so for me maybe variables.

I also found so little on adding new characters (for the whole set of actions) so something on that would be great as well for future dinkers. There is so many places things need changed and for me, it was in files I wouldn't have thought on looking in, like dinfo for his death sequence - two files to change for the sword - I think that could be helpful to know where things are that effect other parts of game play and maybe we can expand on the kind of heros we have in the dmods.

if and else statements - maybe common errors people continually ask on the forum about.

Drawing hardness - not just stamping it - as sometines thats just more specific and saves hours finding the right shape, how to change the hardness for water (fireball going over it)etc. Lots left to do really

I am looking forward to some more indepth vid tuts myself because seeing it done is worth a thousand words to someone like me that had no programming experience and nothing to relate this to, so I say get into to Pilly, get that production line started and flowing .
