Also, the reason why he has blond hair is because in the days of awesome video games, they designed him that way. If they changed the hair color, many people would cry out in nerd rage over the sudden change in the character design. Basically, it would be as if Lara Croft lost her massive boobs suddenly.
Also, his one-liners are as much a part of his DNA as red hair is part of mine. In the past games, he drank and smoked. He probably has an addiction by now or just does it because it's something to do.
I personally like his design, I personally like how the game looks (And I've only seen about a million screenshots and youtube videos) I'd like to buy it and play it. You're just mad because it's made by American people and blah blah blah. You're getting redundant as hell.
