At least science has some backup to their theories. Even if just minor, it's still backup. Religions have very little backup. For example, the bible says there's more than one God, yet people believe in only one God. So in some cases, they even oppose the very little backups they have. I actually do believe somewhat in all religions, but science has pretty much proven that not everything explained in religious texts, for example, should be taken literally.
