Sure the games are bound to your account, but you've paid for them (you pretty much own them) and Valve may remove any game bought with a stolen credit card etc. Justice shall be done!
It's more likely that the burglar breaks in and steal your CDs and DVDs, a serial number already registered is harder to steal.
