Ameno. The crappy phpBB layout used on most forums is crap. It's crap!
Thankfully, usually those forums at least have a "view unread posts since last visit" feature (albeit often hidden, forcing you to guess the correct URL) that collects all the posts into one place, making reading most forums on the internet... remotely tolerable.
