Lesson in Verb Tense (For Flatline and whoever else says "0wNz")
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The verb "to own" is transitive, meaning it requires a direct object in order that one may use it properly in a sentence. For example:

Connor owns more fishnet stockings and high-heeled shoes than a hooker.

I have italicized the direct object of the verb "own." "Fishnet stockings and high-heeled shoes" is the direct object of the verb.

Because "to own" is a transitive verb, one cannot use it as an INtransitive verb. An intransitive verb is one such as "snows". Example: It snows. "Snows" does not require a direct object to be a proper operative verb. "Owns" does.

Even funky NOT l337, might I add, misspellings of "owns."

Be nice to your verbs, kiddies, without them you do nothing.

(Yes, I realize no one read this.)
