The Usual Suspects, also with Kevin Spacey. A twisted story revealed fully at the end...sort of like life. I liked Gladiator...good story and lots of gore and glory. The best, perhaps, could be Citizen Cain, awesome movie, again with everything revealed at the end...if you haven't seen it, get it. The Godfather 1 and 2, I like mob stories.
Oh, one more, maybe the best film ever in my opinion, also with a young Marlon Brando, On the Waterfront. A promising boxer gets lured into the underground world of the mob and dirty dealings...by his own brother. Only when its too late does he realise what he has thrown away, and that moment is one of the best moments ever on film. He eventually defeats his inner demons and turns the table on the mob and saves the city in doing so. A bit controversial, it sort of echos the troubles the director had in his personal life, being called a communist, and blacklisted. The movie really makes you think...every decision we make influences our lives...one bad road leads to many more.
