I played halo for a while but I feel that Resistance 2 is better in some ways. I know there's no vehicles but in terms of weaponry they're on top (come to think of it, Insomniac always is). Being able to give every weapon a secondary function makes it just that much more fun.
Examples:
Magnum secondary fire detonates already fired bullets.
Fareye slows down time (single player).
The Auger (which can already use thermal vision and shoot through walls) deploys a static shield for a few seconds.
Bellock (grenade launcher) fires incendiary shells.
But that's just me.
