If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I use Noteworthy Composer now after I found Sibelius and Finale too clumsy to use. It's very easy to make basic midis with it, even though it's missing some features Finale had (like making 5-let or 7-lets).
Also, NWC has poor support for importing midi files other than those made with it. They sound and look like crap in the editor.
