A similar thread was posted about two or three months ago, but this can't hurt.
I'll rip the following straight from your post: Metallica, Tool, Radiohead, Nirvana, Queen, Guns n' Roses, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ozzy Osbourne, System of a Down, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, Audioslave. I haven't heard much from the rest of the bands listed, so I won't form a concrete opinion on them. (And I cannot believe that you excluded AC/DC... man..
)
Here are the rest of mine, which differ quite a bit from the theme you initiated. In no particular order: Beastie Boys, The Donnas, Frank Sinatra, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against the Machine, Ben Folds, Devo, Queens of the Stone Age, Smashing Pumpkins, The Clash, The Ramones, Sublime, Slash's Snakepit, Weezer, and Smash Mouth (before their disappointing third album).
This is by no means a complete list of the bands I like. I'm quite forgetful, and I decided to exclude bands that I don't have very many songs from. Yes, I may seem like a mainstream junkie from what I've listed, but my tastes actually are fairly broad... I could care less about "punk rock vs. corporate garbage" labeling. I just take what I think is good.
