I was a Cnet Download.com addict. Oh yes, the Star Wars demos, little freeware games, shareware things... I've stumbled on a great many little jewels that way, like Dweep and Gazillionaire... anyways. I was searching the RPG freeware thinger and saw "Dink Smallwood". Cnet described it as "a Zelda-like RPG."
Zelda! I thought. An alarm went off in my head. I was a Zelda nerd back then, too, you see, having played the original game dozens of times. So I downloaded it. This was in the middle of 7th grade... about three years ago exactly.
And I was hooked.
I never bothered joining a community until about a year ago, though.
