If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I went into Wine's imposter C: drive and found the Dinkedit .exe file, and ran that by right clicking and Run with Wine Windows Program Loader.
However, it didn't work very well; there was flickering pixels at the top of the screen, and when I tried to do something, it froze.
FreeDink is in the Ubuntu repository, but it says it doesn't contain that actual game (just the engine). Can I download the main game as I would a Dmod?
I have Windows installed too, but it's so slow I need to reformat before I bother installing anything on it. I guess I should do that...
Is Windinkedit a LOT better than Dinkedit, or just a little bit? If it's a lot better I'll install Dink on Windows, if not, I'll ust GNU FreeDink instead.
EDIT: Okay, well, I downloaded FreeDink and it's working, but..
how to make a new Dmod? All I seem to be able to do is edit the main game.
