There is a difference. It's probably a darker shade of grey. Also, I firmly belive that you arn't being manipulated, you allow yourself to be, and in most situations, you can take the hard road and get out of it. (the manipulation).
I believe that I have never been manipulated, but then again, I don't have anyone that I trust enough to manipulate me, so I can't really comment. Meh.
