Love! True love!
Hey guys, I have a problem with the DN, and if this message registers, I'm in luck. I e-mailed Erwin, and although he didn't know what the problem was, I'm glad he replied.

For the past month now I have been getting a 500 Internal Server Error. It started when we got a new Network Router (I'm connected to another computer). An odd coincidence, if it is one. The error says nothing but:

Error 500
Internal Server Error!
An Internal Server Error Has Occured!

Now, you're all probably wondering HOW I POSTED if I can't get on DN. Well, Im not really sure what happened exactly, but I cleared my clache, my web browsing history, my Cookies, all of it. That let me get on the DN. The next thing, I can view all the sites as a guest, but when I log in, all the sites get the 500 Error. I clear my cache again so my computer doesn't think I logged in, and I can view it. Is it possible there is a script error in my account? I hope that someone knows something, because this shouldn't happen.
If no one does know, at least you know I'm still around.

This is actually ME, not a guest trying to impersonate me (although I don't know why they would.)

Some fixed problems, some new problems.
After getting my computer to think I hadn't logged in, although I am not, the DN thinks I am. Not only am I not logged in, I can't log in and then out because of the problem that I get 500 Internal Server Error on any DN site after I log in, including the log out page. So, I would like to see what people have to think before I fix/blow up my computer. So, for now, I will be in guest form.

Check your settings, maybe something blocking cookies? That's all I can think of at the moment. I've had a similar problem but I think it was a different error, and it was back on my ol'e Windows 98 four years ago. But I remember it...

Huh. I checked and it didn't seem like there was anything wrong with my cookies, or anything blocking them, but I changed my security from Medium High to Medium and now I can get around logged in easily. Strange, but I don't complain about things that work. Maybe Medium High was blocking something important? I'm gonna set it back to Medium High and see if that was the problem.

EDIT: Nope, that wasn't it, but I'm free to go to all the sites without the error. Maybe something finally went through when I was fiddling with the Internet Options.

Mmmm, pizza.
Also, an Internal Server Error is typically an error on the server side. I get it as well, sometimes. Refreshing the page seems to work.

But there's definitely something going on behind the scenes.

Perhaps a minor site update? Yesterday afternoon I was unable to log on and got a 500 all arvo. Did anyone else get this? (24 hours ago, for you Yankees who didn't have the same afternoon as me).
