I'm a complete noob to Dink and programming in general, so I use a frontend, but it won't run D-mods in the .dmod format. Do I have to unzip it or something? or do I just need a new frontend? If opt.1 with what? if opt.2 which would you reccomend?

I suggest getting DFarc 2, a simple proram located in the files section. After you have downloaded it pick yourself out a dmod. DOwnload it, and click on it's icon. It should begin installing, and then open up DFarc 2. It should be in the menu. If you need me to be more specific, feel free to say so.

A .dmod file is basically a tar.bz2 file, it needs to be uncompressed before use. You can use DFArc for this. DFArc2 which also has an integrated frontend is included with the Dink v1.08 download.

When unzipped in the main Dink Smallwood directory the DMOD should appear on your frontend (whichever you choose).

Unless you have a Windows Vista, then the dmods run in DFArc.
