The Dink Network

Can someone please tell me the secret of getting out of the opening screen in the Desert of Thirst? I think I've rained on every cactus, and that didnt seem to help. I can only move around in just a few screens. What am I not doing or seeing? I've even tried to talk to the cactus and tumbleweed. Does Cactus Burn? Its too late to restart the game..maybe I'll try the "burn" technique on the morrow.

It's just a maze I think, there is a village in the SE corner. You can burn the bigger cactus but I don't think you need to.

Thats what I thought too. But no matter where I go on the screens, I run into the rock wall borders. There Doesn't seem to be any outlet to allow any movement other than 4-5 screens.

You need to be up on the thin rock ridge, get on it on the screen S or SW of the save machine. Follow it along and you should get to the village.

That tears it..I have got to quit playing these adDINKitive mods, especially at 1 & 2am. I either had my eyes closed, or was half asleep. As dawn broke on a new day, it was right there in front of me, only took a couple of more inches to my right.

Boy do I feel dumb. I know better. I was caught in a rut, and couldn't forward think for somereason.

I think we ought to form a Dinkaholics Anonymous chapter for those who suffer from sleep deprevation caused by addictive Dink Playing.
