Disappearing amulet

I didn't notice before, but my amulet had disappeared. is there a way to finish the game without it? It's the only thing I didn't have when I could turn into a bird after getting the feathers.
Making the game unwinnable, to me, changes a game rating from a 9.something into a 2.0.

The game is not winnable??? - lots of people have played it and won.
Which amulet are you talking about? The one in Story 3 disappears after you move to Story 4 - I don't remember there being another amulet in SOB...

The easiest way to win is to have all the pieces of the stone - you can win without them, but it is harder. Having the first 4 let's you recharge your life by arming the 4th and using it. Having the first 5 pieces, if you arm the 5th and use it all your stats take on the value of the highest stat - try using this with the immunity potion you can get in Story 6 (a bug I never removed, 'cause it's like a super cheat... hehehehe)
Re: yellow snapper - this is a red herring.
Stone henge site in Story 4 is in Dark Forest, but you enter it at the top of the forest, walking under the branches of two trees to get up the hill - entrance is covered by the branches.
