Firefox bookmarks conundrum.

I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to.I guess.
I've got a bit of an idea that I want implemented fully in firefox (It's only done halfway), but I don't know who I could talk to about it, and I know there are people here who can point me in the right direction.

Basically, it's about how it handles bookmarks.
/back story for people who don't know why firefox is awsome
You can have the homepage open multiple tabs when you put a "|" between each address, neat, hun?

You can also use keywords in the address bar to open pages, ie, go to this page, do this search, etc, etc. I can type in wiki rectangles in the addressbar and it will take me to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rectangles in one step. I can also type in DN, and I'll come here. It's easy to set up and it's a powerful feature.

What I want, is a combination. I want to be able to type "comics" into the address bar and have my 5 comic pages pop up each in a separate tab. Sure, I could make a comics folder in my bookmarks, right-click it, and select open all pages in new tabs, but that takes a bit longer.
Also, you can't use keywords with bookmark folders yet either. Giving multiple bookmarks the same keyword doesn't work either.

It's not like it's much of a stretch. After all, the homepage already supports this feature, it's just that the homepage is a set of pages that I'll check multiple times per day; the comic pages, not so much. I'm getting into the habit of closing multiple tabs instinctively, and I don't want that.

Probably, now that I think about it, a more elegant solution would be to just let bookmark folders have keywords that automatically open up multiple windows. It'd be harder to implement, as it'd take new code, and more bloaty, but it would also mean less duplication of features.

So, any ideas on who to go talk to, what forum to see, what kind of extension I could make, etc, etc?

Daniel, there are clowns.
I'd do the blatantly obvious and begin my search at Mozilla's Firefox page.

I can't seem to get their forums to work for me.

ctrl+click or middle mouse button on the folder. I do that all the time.

I just tried that, and, well, it's a derivative kind of problem: all my current tabs are overwritten. Not sure if that's the correct term, but that's the unwanted side effect.

And, it involves using the mouse. I try to avoid that, if I can, as to use my mouse on that computer I need to turn some swtiches, and I'm lazy. (I've got two monitors, two computers, one keyboard, and one mouse. It's a switchy setup, and for some reason the mouse takes a few seconds to initialize after a switch, and the keyboard doesn't.) (Oh, and fun fact: one of the monitors takes 10min to focus)
