SabreTrout I'm in your backyard...
SabreTrout, I thought I'd let you know that I'm in your back yard. I'm backbacking through England and have already been to Liverpool, York, Leeds and parts of Wales. I am currently in London but will be heading off to Dover, Bristol, Stonehenge (Salisbury), and Canterbury to name a few places. Everybody calls me mate, everyone smokes, and there is absolutely nothing on TV - except soccer and the Commonwealth games. I won't see you, but thought I'd let you know that I'm enjoying it here. I went to see the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge today - I enjoyed the bridge more, oddly enough. I will add that the rail network here is fantastic - I wish the US had a similar network that ran as well as this does. Cheers...
I wish our rail network was as good as the US one even. Here is NZ our rail system is almost non-existant. Even with there now being a Britomart in Auckland (our main city (even though the capital is Wellington)). For those that don't know Britomart is a British company that sets up stations for buses and trains.
I thought the US rail network was bad. Maybe that's because I'm from Europe...
It's better than almost non-existant. We have to rely on expensive buses in most areas of NZ (Invegargil is the exception with cheap buses).
For a second there, I was freaking out you were stalking me!!
Hope you're enjoying your trip to our (irritatingly )rainy little isle, and haven't had any trouble with... well, anything really!
If you pass through Leicester, let me know.
