~Notice~
In case anyone was thinking of putting the revised DinkC.txt into an easily navigable form I have begun to change it into html format. If anyone else was thinking of starting this type of project just letting you know so we don't work on the same thing. For anyone who wants to know how far along I am, I just recently started and it's slow going so if anyone else is further along I can defer to them.

ok, you may hte me for saying this, but depending on how you are doing it, there is a MUCH easier way to do it (than manually processing it). i could write a small script to put each function in a different html file if you want. then all you'd have to do is link them, althought maybe i could do that aswell. d
dont worry though, im not going to do it aswell as you, unless you ask me for help that is
(dont forget to betatest it!! yes, the roster can be used for things other than dmods

I was thinking of making a small C program to create all the htmls, one for each command, but I don't know enough about C to do it. If you could make a program that would do this for me that would be wonderful.
If you can do this I want to tell you what kind of format I want this program to create. Each html page should look like this:
<html>
<head>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="dinkc.css" />
<title>["About PSEQ and PFRAME"]</title>
</head>
<body>
<pre>
<strong>command_name</strong>
Category: bla bla
Prototype:
bla bla bla bla bla
bla bla bla bla bla yak yak yakkady yak. blady
bla, bla bla bla bla blaby bla yak yak.
</pre>
</body>
</html>
Keep all the actual command info looking the same (that is what the <pre> is for) except for the pound sign (#) and making the command name strong.
Note: use the pound signs as a point of reference...
hmm, getting way ahead of myself first tell me what you think, are you willing and able to make this type of program?
Reply and tell me what you think.

It would be better if you put it into a Windows help file for easy access.

The board is not the place for such considerations. Ted Shutes is the one to be noticed: he is doing the revised DinkC.txt, and he told me he planned to use another format.
When you want to do some project, you have to contact people already involved in it!
So contact Ted Shutes, figure out if he already did something about the DinkC.txt format, or figure out whether he need your help; contact also Robert Fogt if possible, as he created a .hlp version of the original DinkC.txt.
Lots of people do not check the board, but are still involved in Dink projects. Do not forget that.
