Stupid Goblins...
I'm having a heck of a time getting the Goblin Guardian to open the gate. The first time He let me through. After I died however...Now, no matter how long I wait, he refuses to let me through. Keeps saying something to the effect of come back later, it's to early. WHY is he doing this?!
Make sure you have the bow equipped and that you've learned Bow Lore.

You're posting in the wrong place... Guestions about the original Dink and dmods should be in the file discussion forum.
There's also a walkthrough for the game at Dink solutions, as well as several other dmods. You need to speak with the mayor and/or his daughter before you can get into the goblin sanctuary. You also need to have the bow armed when you talk with the guard.
