Amoebalord's Trippy Story

Terrance was walking. He could see nothing but white and he did not have the faintest idea where he was. Was it possible he was torn
between reality and an ethereal dimension outside human comprehension? Or more likely: he was hallucinating and probably unconscious inside someone's dumpster. Either way, he was half-asleep.

A splash of purple, rolling light hit his face. Terrance felt sick...a fiery pain in his gut. He woke up (not woke up from this dream,
woke up in this dream) to find himself walking along a sidewalk. The sidewalk had a multitude of wear on it, most noticably the large crack
that was several meters long. He was clearly in a city, a slum of one at that. But this city was something unreal and would've frightened him had he actually been there.

A person- no, a shape of a person- aproached him. It was all dressed in black, but its figure had no dimension. Terrance jumped when it asked him, "Would you like to go inside? It would be splendid." Before he could answer, he was standing in a room with two staircases and several doors. The figure was gone as fast as he had come. Without thinking, Terrance began to walk along the corridor towards the two spiral staircases. He passed many rooms. One was filled with corpses swinging from rafters. Another had a jaccuzzi filled with what looked like sulpheric acid. Several people were
relaxing in it.

At the end of the hall, in between the two staircases, was a portrait. Depicted on it was a child holding several sunflowers. Terrance began to ascend the staircase to his left. Along the wall up the stairs were several more pictures, getting more macabre as he went up. It started with the picture of the child, then it moved on to a picture of a young teenage girl swimming on a cloudy day. Some of the most notable ones included a picture of
many geese flying towards the sun, a headless man carving a turkey, a pale woman readying herself to jump off a cliff, a horrified child discovering a rotting corpse at the beach, a man mulching his own head in a barrel of acid, and three teenagers wearing swimsuits cannon-balling into a woodchipper.

When reaching the landing, Terrance walked slowly into the room to his left. A poker match was in progress here. Unnoticed, he grabbed a chair and spectated. "I'll see your $20 in chips and raise you 5." "Very well. I call." "Straight with a jack kicker." "Two pair; you win." The man collected his chips from the other. There were five of them crowded around the table, not counting himself. A bald man with an eyepatch and a cigar (a living, breathing, cliche) put in the blind. Terrance noticed some this man's chips were stained with blood. After two people had folded, the man who had lost burnt the first card and flipped the other three (apparently he was dealing). The three that were still in began betting and raising each other. Eventually, a man with long red hair put all his chips in. "I'll see your all-in in chips and sidebet my soul." said the bald man. The three of them showed their cards, and the bald man won. Smiling, the long, red-haired man scribbled "Jerry's soul" on a scrap of paper and handed it to him.

After a long time, there were only two of them left in: the bald man and someone named "Hans". When Hans had no chips left, he bet his left forearm. Needless to say, the bald man won the hand. Hans got out his blue hacksaw, and happily sawed through his flesh. While doing this, he made small talk with the other players. "How's the weather gonna be tomorrow?" Finally, he handed his dismembered forearm to the bald man. Bored, Terrance walked out of the room.

There were pictures along this hall, but they were much larger than the ones up the staircase. One showed a female nurse holding her own head on a platter. Another, Terrance's favorite, depicted a man in front of rolling hills. He had holes in him from a gun, so you could see what's behind him. The last one in the hall was of a scared man pulling out the intestine of another person through their throat. Terrance opened the last door.

This room was a dining hall. There were two long tables, which probably seated 50 people to each. In between the two tables were two people, a man and woman. The woman whispered to him, "Please, I cannot live without you." The man responded with, " Then you can die. I must go." As the man walked out the door, the woman screamed and reached for a knife. She tore deep into her wrist, trying to kill herself. Terrance ran over to her and yelled, "No! Don't do it! Not like that! You cut down the road not across the street." As he told her, he made hand movements to demonstrate. Sobbing, the woman stabbed the kitchen knife into her wrist and cut down to her elbow. She left a gory mess all over the table.

The waiter entered the room and drug the corpse into the kitchen. A busboy followed him and scrubbed up the blood on the table. "Hey man! What's up? I'm Roger." Terrance replied with, "Not much, 'Roger', but I'm really hungry." Roger said, "Supper will be served
in nine minutes. I can't wait until the dance!" Terrance knew Roger wanted him to ask about the dance, so he didn't. He just assumed the dance was important. Terrance simply ignored him and walked into the kitchen.

The kitchen seemed normal enough. One of the chefs, a young one, accidently dropped on the floor the turkey he was basting.
"Dammit!" he whispered angrily to himself. He took a gascan out of the pantry, and doused himself. Terrance offered out his zippo
lighter when the chef's lighter wouldn't light. The chef promptly died.

Terrance walked out of the kitchen and left the dining room. Once in the hall, he went inside the door closest to him. There were many statues in this room, including a life-size one of Tom Petty. Another statue was of a lynx eating a jackrabbit. The largest one
showed an executionor cutting off a panicked woman's head with an axe. Terrance got to the end of the room and stared out the window. It was raining. He reached out to touch the glass, except there was no glass. He lost his balance and fell out. Fortunatly, a fencepost blocked his fall. Unfortunately, it impaled him.

Terrance woke up behind a building in a pile of his own vomit. He was back to reality now.
