How long does it take?
For those of you who have finished d-mds... how long did it take you? I just want an approximation of course, but I think it would be interesing to see how long various epics, quests and romps took to create.
So?
So?
I worked on the TGVimH v1.2 for five months, but only a couple of hours every day. Most of the time was used to learn about writing DMODs more than actually write my own. Then I spent almost as much time on v3.0.
Hmm.. approximations only:
Once in a Lifetime took about 1 - 2 months.
World of DinkC took about 8 - 10 months.
Blood Scorpions took about 1 month.

I have not many experience yet of creating one. But my first the ultimate challenge took me in about 3 months the one which I am creating now is gonna take much time I am already 3 months away on creating and I am still half way. But I want to create a nice and good epic with no bugs and good scenery and a good various of sprites.
Isle of Croth - 1 1/2 months
Stone of Balance - 8 months
Creeping Sands - 3 days
Progeny - 1 week
Pilgrim's Quest - 8 months

Too long. Seriously. Every D-Mod I take seems to take longer and longer as I seem to increase the level of professionalism I hold myself to, forcing myself to come up with new paradigms of user involvement.
Plus, I'll often spend weeks or months not working on a given D-Mod at all, then suddenly resume it again.

Umm, well, let me guess here...
Elves of Rathor - a month or so
Cursed - a few weeks
The Golden Buddha - a few weeks
Stupid Penguins - a few days
Terrania - a month and counting...
