several things.
1. new options like buying boats and sail around the world
2. The landscapes (think about pilgrims quest: land of punze, firewoods),
3.new spells and weapons
4. new stats (like luck honour and agility)

Thats why I like pilgrims quest the most

Any fool can use a computer. Many do.
I like PQ the most. PQ has this, this and this. I like this, this and this the most in a D-Mod

Mmmm, pizza.
I like DMods that are very innovative. Just normal search/kill-work but with a twist to it to make it interesting.

Search for something (scroll etc.): Every DMod has these quests. It's one of the basics in an rpg. The way you can get that certain "something" is important. Only walking and fighting is good for short DMods, but this gets tedious in larger games.

Kill an enemie to get something: See above. If you use this quest, be sure to make something special of this enemy, not just a super-powered version of a normal enemy. Or add dialogue to link the enemy with the story.

Search for someone: Yet again, see above. Definitely a plus if this "someone" does something special, like selling rare items, or it follows you around killing things or something.

To get all the weapons: I've only tried it in Initiation. Otherwise I only get the weapons that are really necessary.

Search for an special enemie: See first point. If it's really special, make it special, not just a normal enemy with higher stats. A bonca with a dragon's greater harm would be cool.

To see what converstations there are: That's what I standard do, or it must be irritating to read. A small sense of humour is a must-have if you've got large parts of conversation.

Just a dmod with a lot to do no matter what: A lot to do no matter what is bad. I can easily make a DMod that takes forever to beat, but is dull. If it's a lot to do, but with a lot of variety, it's better than just a lot to do.

These are the things that make me like a DMod.

Cloud Castle 2 has the best characters, the best jokes, the best quests, the best range of things you can do, and the best plot. Oh yeah, and it's the best.

Sabre, you're forcing me to install Dink again and play CC2. With all the bragging about the plot I just NEED to see.

Is it necessary to play the first CC in order to understand the plot of the sequel?

Not really, but there will be a few jokes you won't understand. Overall, it won't make a big difference.

And I see my plan is working... you will all play CC2... all of you! Bwahaha.
