How to beat Jameil?

I'm really struggling in defeating this boss, I ran out of healing potions in all over the temple and I'm now into the boss room. Hints please?

All I can say is to try and "kill" the scarab holes the moment they appear, and to generally not let the amount of monsters build up too much.

seems to me the only way to beat Jameil is to cheat your little ass off. Its still really hard and you have to be quick. I must have restored my HP like a 100 times in the fight. But the ending is so cool.
