It is me or are we rather limited in smilies?

Is it technically impossible to have more or is it a matter of being afraid of abundant use?

It is fairly easy to add more... but besides the cat (which I added for the sole reason for boosting allikitten's mood in the chat room a couple years ago), these smilies are pretty simple. And with different colors assigned to each one, you don't have to spend a lot of time analyzing them trying to figure out what it is supposed to represent.

But, if you can think of any suggestions, let me know. But I don't want to go about adding in a hundred ones that are just superfluous.

Yes, brilliant, thank you. After spending quite a while at some phbb forum, I have grown so tired of everybody adding a row of moshing christmas elves at the end of their posts that I'd personally love to tear the eyes off the moderators there. The purpose of a smilie is to represent a feeling. Which feeling does a smurf represent? Or a smiling face that changes color? Or the rocking elf?

Just as long as you restrain from any animated smilies whatsoever, I'll be very very happy.. I think we're doing pretty well with what we have atm.
