I've read occassional threads about applying the dink palette and I even downloaded a file that goes by that name once, yet still I've never managed to get the colours right in a screenshot taken while playing Dink Smallwood.

Assume that I only have the windows XP paint. What am I supposed to do to get the colours right??

I think Redink1 Made a video clip showing how you apply a picture to Dink Pallette.

While true, it is possible to convert an existing graphic to the Dink pallete using Paint, it is impossible to take a screenshot of Dink and then apply the Dink palette.

I think that is what Scratcher was asking.

I got this free graphic imaging program called Irfanview,I got it from Download.com.You can import, export and edit palletes through it,plus lots of other stuff.I was able to export the dink pallette from a picture in the main dink game and then import it to a pasted screenshot picture I had taken of my own game. Its pretty easy with Irfanview.

Oh, and the easiest way to take screenshots is to use Dink in Windowed Mode.

USE IRFANVIEW, its the only method that has worked for me. its free, just download then press print screen, paste it in irfanview then go to load pallete and load the dink.pal and you are good to go homey.
