Hi my name is Xanthos, some of you probaly know me, and it seems like middle to late summer is when I get bored enough to turn back to Dink. This is probaly the 5th or so time this has happened. Anyway, my question to the community is what specific things do you appreciate in D-Mods. Replies in these will help me focus to make my ever increasingly long D-Mod to be better. Some examples are: Humor, Dialogue, Fighting, Map Design, Sound/Music Quality, New Graphics (Not just colorized), Logic Puzzles, riddles, length, or just maybe doing something that has never been done before. Feel free to expound upon these or think of new ones. Please don't choose all of them, just pick 2 or 3. Thanks.

I'd love a dmod with a good story and lots of puzzles.

I like humor as well plot. However, a good serious d-mod is excellent. I like one with a sense of urgency. Now, asuming you can a come up with a good plot which is executed in one of the two mentioned fasions, the next important thing would be ingenuity. Whether in the form of new uses of graphics, a new style of combat, ect.

Well a fun romp is some witty or senseless toilet humor with some redundant and senseless action.

A good quest can have a decent story with some unique puzzles or just a side-story.

A great epic has everything especially a map and storyline that evolves with lots of secrets and just occasional humor.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Good humour. That does NOT include toilet humour or constant innuendo.

A strong plot. This does not necessarily mean the d-mod needs a great story. Go figure.

Well balanced combat. And fudge the screenlocks, we all hate them deep down.
