Re: technology and the future
did you ever notice how fast cutting edge technology is becoming obsolete? buy a new computer at top dollar and in less than a year its worth $10 at best, and thats if you melt down all the metal from the circuitry and sell it along with the power cable. at the rate bill gates is wiping his ass with solid gold bars that equals the wealth of an entire country's population, america will be the only surviving civilization, under catchy new and improved name, conjured up by some microsoft employee, in a matter of time equal to 4.7 years by my calculations. and you know the currency will have the top notch green bubble style to it. the only other country will be taiwan, who builds everything including the little mechanical monkey robots with bill gate's face tattooed on its ass cheeks that will be flying around. you wake up in the morning and press a single button and everything you did that day is already completed, and then a little door opens up and elves pop out and tuck you back into bed. we will have machines to carry out the very act of human thought. why bother ourselves with such mundane activities when he could have technology do it for us? this is our future. yes, my friends, the matrix is becomming a reality. bill gates is signing contracts with the japanese as we speak. dont drink the water!
You need professional help.
Do you also think the book 1984 will come true?

Well, I think josh is going a bit too far, but you gotta admit that electric can openers are pretty lame.
There are signs of it... such as the TCPA, the DMCA, Microsoft Palladium, the Fritz-chip.. yeah. I could go on, but...
Actually three of those are related to each other, and require each other to exist.
YMCA? WTF? LOL? OMG? XIIT? AFK? BRB? BTW? TCPA? DMCA?
At least the two last ones are totally unknown to me...

WC, the robots have got to you. you are beyond hope, just give up now. the matrix has your brain.
Open your eyes, 1984 already is true, man!
Want a scary example of how advanced robotics and computers are getting? This professor invented a breed of robots out of BMW parts that can recognize cars in need of service and fix them...UNAIDED! They need four separate PC's to run though...all of them with Linux!?!
