Suggestion: Volume Control

It would be very nice if there were a volume control option somewhere. Many times I have to stop the game and turn the volume up or down. I have no idea where one would put this, though! I'll leave that up to the brainiacs who create these things.
Maybe the main option menu, where you can quit the game?

And what if you're using passive speakers with no volume control?
Like I WAS using, before I got these huge stereo systems. Mmm.

I don't think there is a good solution to this. Some MIDI's really belt the "tune" out, wheras some are very quiet.
You just have to hope the author puts a bit of thought into their selections I guess.

I do have a volume control knob on my speakers, which are shelved above the desk. However, I am disabled, and while I can certainly stand up to do this, it's a literal pain in the back.
Interesting to see that there are some speakers that do not have a control knob, so this could be useful to others as well.
It was just a thought. Maybe as an update in one of the cheat programs? I use the one with the key-67.d thingy in it.

Well, AFAIK there isn't a DinkC command to control the overall sound volume. Buy a new keyboard with volume control
Or, press enter to pause the game, then Alt-Tab to get back to Windows desktop and set the volume there.

Though the game stops playing any midi-music after you use Alt-Tab, it'll only finish the current midi.
i hope that will be fixed in Dink v2!
I've discovered why in the dink source, but instead of fixing it I'll just make it work in Windemere. However, one weird problem I don't understand (I blame it on the old DirectX version Seth programmed for) is that if midi's don't play immediately, if I AltTab out and back in, they work. Weird. Of course AltTabbing back out and in again breaks it....
