I do have a volume control knob on my speakers, which are shelved above the desk. However, I am disabled, and while I can certainly stand up to do this, it's a literal pain in the back. 
Interesting to see that there are some speakers that do not have a control knob, so this could be useful to others as well.
It was just a thought. Maybe as an update in one of the cheat programs? I use the one with the key-67.d thingy in it.
