The *New* Screenshots
Why do some dmods have 4 or 5 screenshots, while others have only 1?? I noticed it doesn't matter if the size of the game is a romp or epic. I am just wondering.

Some d-mods don't have any. I think more recent d-mods get screenshots taken all the time, and some old ones have had them taken, yet some have slipped through the net.
And I guess some d-mods just call out for more screenshots, especially those with new graphics etc.

I noticed too. Do you have to send in screenshots or does a staff member makes screenshots?
No, you don't have to be a staff member. I've submitted many of the now available screenshots and yeah.. the more graphical D-Mods are the ones you can easily use to make some nice screenshots 
Simeon has submitted (as a guess) half of the screenshots, and his D-Mods (and those that he's played recently) are more likely to have screenshots.

Cool. I noticed Twins don't have any. I'll send in some. What size? And .bmp or something else?
Send them as 640x480 bmps, please. Or if you want, reduced color gif or png, but I'll do that step with a bmp.
If you really want the preview image to be what you want, that should be 175x131. Usually I'll decide to either shrink the entire pic down to that size, or crop down on a small segment of the screenshot. Sometimes I've made some dumb preview images, like Pilgrim's Quest's famous barrel screenshot, but I think I've gotten better.

Hmmm... I'll send some in for Stone of Balance... it only has one, and since I'm playing through this DMOD before I upload it I've had opportunity to do so grabs... and I think I'll revise some stuff as it's been 3 years, and the game play level is quite hard in Story 4 (I had trouble remembering what to do

It has to do with the pallet.
So... make you're printscreen in Dink, paste it in PSP, or in any other graphics program that can load palletes. Get the dink.pal from somewhere on this site, probably development or miscellaneous, then select Colors --> Load Palette. Now browse to dink.pal and select maintain indexes. Watch how it looks now.
For any other program, I don't know how it works. Probably somewhat the same, though.

Well, if you don't have PSP you can use the free IrfanView, which works just fine
1) Download IrfanView.
2) Download Ted's Tools and Toys.
3) Start a D-Mod and go to a place for a screenshot.
4) Press PrintScreen.
5) Paste it in Irfanview and apply the palette using Image > Palette > Import Palette (use Dinkedit.pal - it's in Ted's Tools and Toys).
6) CTRL + S and save it in a format you like.

Is there a maximum number of screenshots a DMOD can have?
I've just clocked up about 40 for SOB... so Redink, should I cull this list or give you them all?

lol, wow. I'd say limit it to 1 or 2 from each story, at the very most 3.
Okay I'll send 3 from each story... that's a total of 21... you can choose to cull further I guess 
Whoa, you actually managed to take three interesting screens from story 7?
Blood fountain; battling 3 Dinks; End Boss - interesting for me
A screenshot of the final boss? That's pure folly! Surely it should be a suprise...
Why? Consider it something to look forward to... Or a tease... as in... I really want to get thru this other stuff and fight that big bad motha... or maybe Redink will not think that pic that good - after all I think I sent him 27 odd screen shots, so I don't think all of them will make it. I've left it up to him.
Yeah, I removed all screenshots that were spoilery, and all those containing nudity (unless you recommend we get kicked off of RPGPlanet), and some other ones to trim it down to a still-enourmous lot of 12.
They use Naughty words at gamespy all the time and i saw nudity there on few ocassions.
