ok, I've deveated the red dragon, have death sword & star, scale, etc. I go back to talk to the tinker, scenario....., he casts the spell, then the whole game terminates. Am I doing something wrong? I have tried entering the mountain on my own, but that seems futile. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you get the scale from the Basilisk?
If so, when you give it to the tinker, the cutscene plays and the game keeps going, unless you mean the game crashed...

The game crashed. I tried it a few more times & got it to work. I don't know what the deal was. Thanks.
