Time Zone issues with Chat
Thanks to an email from Beuc, I've been alerted to a problem with the time zones for Dink Chat. Currently, I don't believe Daylight Savings Time is taken into account by some areas, where it is in others. Once it's no longer DST, this problem will magically disappear, but for now, the temporary fix is that the moderator hosting the chat will post a reminder separate from the original chat announcement on the board approximately one hour before the chat takes place (the reminder will be deleted after the chat). Evidently, the board does not take DST into account either, so your board preferences may not be set to the correct time. So, if you think that the chat is at, say, 16:00 your time, check the board at a couple minutes past 15:00: if you're correct, then there should be a reminder posted. Sorry about this mess, frankly, I have no idea what time it is where, so I'm not sure how to adjust the Time Zone chart.
