After I talk to Robyn, the guard comes to escort me out of the jail. Might be a bug or something I'm missing? Can't go pass the prison door.

Did you try walking right up to the door and talking to him through the bars?

Yes, definitely tried talking through the bars and presssing the spacebar numerous times around the door.

Yes, I had my problems with this too.
Just try a bit, and stamp space the whole time.
That's how I made it.

Ugh, so frustrating! Still stuck. I've tried spacing all around the door. Is there a specific point I should stand for this to work?

Hmmm.... I cheated me to this point.
Go to the middle of the door, look at him and go as much forward as possible and talk to him.
Then it worked for me and I could fight.

Just save in the prison and reload again, that will help.
