Different dialog styles
I was just wondering if anyone's got any ideas on how to implement a different dialog style in Dmods.
For instance the only one we seem to use is when the dialog text appears above a sprites head, or in a menu.
But what about the one most commonly used in other RPG's like when it shows a picture of the character on the bottom left/right corner with a box containing the dialog?
Has that been done yet?

It is possible to do that by using the wait_for_button(); command.
Why not show picture and display the regular text within the box?
Didn't 9 Gems of Life do something different?
I don't have any DinkC knowledge whatsoever. But maybe it is possible by making every single dialog box a PNG image and then showing it on the screen.

Dink Smallwood SADLY does not support PNG. Only BMP. But it's possible to do that. Just make the dialog box as a sprite, then in DinkC all you need is say_xy, move_stop (For the dialog box to move) and of course wait_for_button() with the result of 2 (For space), 12 and 18 (For Up and Down to choose a dialogue) and finally the external command.
