music
Don't you guys just love music?
Music has different effects depending on who you are, and what you listen too.
For me personally music takes me on a journey, i like to close my eyes and just let music work in unison with my active imagination, and just let it flow ya know?
As such i don't HAVE a favorite genre, i merely enjoy music that affects me in that way.
Basically, i like what i like...
I do have genres i DISLIKE though... For instances i cant stand heavy metal or anything like it... nor excessive angry/harsh sounding singing of any type...
Not that i necessarily find fault in those who do of course, its just a matter of taste...
So! I wanna hear what you guys think of music? Do you have a favorite genre?
Does it hold special meaning for you in any way?

I like ska. And I mean SKA. If I don't hear that two tone beat, it ain't ska.
My favorite music is usually found in games/shows/movies. Something about combining music with something that's actually happening along with it makes it that much more interesting.
I agree about screaming, though on rare occasions I've heard it work, such as in Devil May Cry 3.
I don't care greatly about Country/Rap, not because of the general sound of the music, but because there's a major overabundance of generic and/or shitty songs for those genres. When utilized properly though, they can be awesome.

I like genre bending music. Like celtic swing metal. Or chip tune gypsy rap. Maybe even some christian grunge bop if I'm in the right mood.
anything that isn't country (bluegrass is fine) or modern stupid electropoptrap
i like everything else, for different reasons
(my soundcloud is cryono7 check out my stuff )

I like country music, but not anything you'd hear on a "country" station nowadays. Today's "country" is just bad pop music with steel guitars, fiddles and (often affected) accents.
Sounds like we have the same tastes new guy
I agree with what you guys are saying about country music :/ some songs can be awesome, but there is heaps of crappy ones out there.

As most people know by now, I generally like to listen to music from video games, as such, given that video game music can range in various ways, I generally can listen to anything that isn't rap, dubstep, or new country.
