It's been three years since Daan Buckinx, aka Dukie, passed away. Show some love for the old-school coolness that helped make it all happen, or at the very least brought a lot of smiles with him along the way.

I wanna say it was cancer, actually, but thanks for immediately trying to make light of things.

Rest in peace, Dukie. I may not have chosen the same avatar as you on purpose, but I'll keep it out of respect.

Some words of his for inspiration, found by simply going to his profile once:

And don't forget the all-important 3 B's:
Betatesting,
Betatesting,
and more Betatesting!

Very true!

I don't know if I was even around when Dukie was. Though I do respect his old school coolness.

The image of Dukie I have in my head is that of him leaning against a building, smoking a joint, and just being chill.

I always found it impressive that someone could generate a vibe like that over the internet.

Sounds like one of those people everyone should know and who should never die.

RIP Dukie. Wish he'd be still around, as I'm sure everybody does. Only had the opportunity to talk to the guy once or twice. Last thing he ever posted here was saying he's gonna make a comeback soon. Sad to look back at it.

Never really knew him but from everything I see he seems a really nice guy, very sad he's gone.

3 years already? It doesn't seem that long ago.

I'll think of him the next time my next-door neighbour smokes his joint outside the window
