It's certainly nice; but if you haven't played it yet, the thing to play first after SoB is Pilgrim's Quest. It is the sequel, after all.

Before CC2, you should probably play CC1 (if you haven't yet). I don't think it is particularly good, but it's not bad either, and it gives the story of CC2 a bit background.
