Project Sentinel
For those who know a while back I created this project, basically a small direct draw based engine which I was going to mold into a dink engine but never did. Well, in past days it has been reborn, the entire front end and direct x interface is completed, I am working on the .dat code right now and map structures..will it be released? I dunno, but I thought i'd tell you what I have done so far. This is all build from scratch.
- Front end built into the engine.
- 8-32 bit color support (user selected)
- Direct 3d interface with full HAL and RGB support.
- Direct Input and force feedback support. Should be able to use any gamepad with the engine.
- Windowed/fullscreen support. Fullscreen has a bug I need to fix though.
- Enabled alphablending (if you PC supports)
I am going ot make it 100% dink 1.07 compatible first then I will add these feature.
- jpg support.
- MP3/video support.
- Higher resolution support (I dunno about this yet)
- Weather support (day/night, rain, snow). (day/night is acctually rather easy to add..)
- Built in editor.
- <insert all my idea's for tile/file format here>

Why tell us about this if you don't plan on releasing it? You just want us to beg for it

Well, frankly im dying for more colors! i make new graphics all the time, but the colors look like *dog doo?* so i never release them

I am interested on releasing it, I just might not based on how it turns out.

Sounds pretty cool. I think you should have called it Project Flying-Monkey though. It has a much nicer ring to it.

Project ThinkDink is the worst possible name that could have been created. Along with Project SabreTrout of course...
