Because they're a corporation in a capitalistic society and their bottom line is making money. You know, like most major companies.

I have to agree. I don't like Apple's policies, so I don't buy from them.
However, Microsoft is better than Apple in policies, despite their foray into DRM. Though, it really doesn't matter since I get my computers at places where Micro can't get the money.

Name one corporation that isn't full of greedy S.O.Bs. At least Microsoft is fixing themselves on the Xbox One, making it a more gamer/developer friendly console. Don Mattrick isn't even at Microsoft anymore, he left to become CEO of Zynga, which is a dying social game developer.
I'm really liking xbox's new feature, "Games with Gold" in which I get two free games a month.
They're copying what Playstation has been doing for years, except PS does more than 2 games a month, plus lots of amazing discounts. Microsoft is just playing catch up. Though I do like most of the games they've released for free so far. Nice to have a copy of Assassin's Creed 2 now.
Assassins Creed 2, and Crackdown have been pretty cool. I don't really care for Dead Rising 2 though.
I liked the tower defense game too, it was pretty cool. Haven't gotten around to downloading Dead Rising 2 yet so I don't know if I like it or not yet.
It's fun can be found in a sandbox mode- but there is none. You are timed for everything and it's really annoying.
The thing alteast the orignal Xbox was very convineint and for the Gamer
-It was the only system that had a proper Online service (It made sense at the time to pay in comparisment to the PS2)
-It had a built in hard drive in comparisment to buying an extra memory card
-Big and robust controller
-The boot up screen was very gamer like.
-The power brick was built in(LOL! the 360 powerbrick)
